That the system survives being projected. Slide grounds are --color-surface-primary, the eyebrow rules and progress bar are the same --color-action the site uses, and nothing is scaled up to compensate for the screen.
The deck sets type in cqi, container-relative units, and that
is correct for the medium: a slide has to read the same
projected at 1920 as it does on a laptop, which a fixed rem ramp cannot do.
So "it does not use --text-*" is not the defect.
The defect is that the container scale has no scale. The
system declares nine type steps; this deck uses twenty-one distinct
cqi sizes — 1.25, 1.3, 1.35, 1.4, 1.45, 1.5, 1.55, 1.6,
1.7… — separated by as little as 0.05, chosen per element.
Radius is the same shape of problem: seven ad-hoc values against the
system’s eight named steps. That is why it reads as adjacent to the
system rather than of it, and the fix is a cqi ramp derived
from the same ratios rather than a switch to tokens.
